Good food, fair prices. Some wait staff great, others not so. Disappointed they discontinued their good discount coupon program. Great variety of barbecue sauces.
The food *used* to be good. Me and my family went there last night (6/25/17). The mashed potatoes we received were burnt, the chili tasted like lukewarm tomato sauce in beans. The brisket and ribs were marginally edible, as well as the burgers. Customer service was average, pleasant at best. Overall would never go there again. Goodbye Famous Daves, you *used* to be good. If you are in the Portland area I recommend going somewhere else, there are plenty of *better* places to eat in that area.
The best in Maine. Good BBQ is hard to find in Maine. They have a good selection of sauces from sweet to hot. My favorite is Southside sauce. It's not on the table, you have to ask for it. Has just the right amount of heat..

I am an avid Daver's but for happy hour of course. I am used to rib tips, sliders, fries, chicken tenders, and much more on the menu but here it is like a snack pack for sale, not a discount meal. So enjoy the place, it is clean and people were not unkind there, but it was dead! Hope the owners will be open to a larger and true happy hour menu so I can start eating there weekly as we did before at other locations in the past States we have lived.
So good. I love the food here. I get the feast for 2 and have so much left over. The brisket is my favorite but the beans are good a little kick. The coleslaw is so yummy! The chicken is perfect. Pulled pork amazing. Literally always so good.
